BSS sums up the results of 2008

2008’s results turned out to be quite imposing under restrictions of economic instability of financial markets.

The Company’s turnover has increased more than 1.5 times as compared to the previous year, the customer base has enlarged by over 140 banks and their subsidiaries of Russia and other neighboring countries. Among them are Russian banks of the top-100 and top-300 levels, such as:

It should be noted specially that during the 2008 year RBS systems developed by our Company had significant expansion among the largest Russian banks’ branch networks: "Gazprombank", "Russian Agricultural Bank", "Promsvyazbank", "NOMOS Bank", "Uralsib", "Sviaz-bank", "Moscow Bank for Reconstruction and Development" and etc.

 

BSS’s solutions are also a success among the non-resident banks. The following organizations joined the list of the Company’s clients in 2008: Commerzbank (Eurasija) SAO, ABM Bank, Mizuho Corporate Bank (Moscow) and etc.

 

Due to an active work of the Company on the CIS countries' markets the list of our CIS clients has been enlarged by the following banks and their subsidiaries: "Astana Finance" (Kazakhstan), "Eurasian Bank" (Kazakhstan), "Belrosbank" (Belarus), "EuroBank" (Belarus), "Belvnesheconombank" (Belarus), "Absolut Bank" (Belarus), "Demir Kirgiz International Bank" (Kirghizia), "Converse Bank" (Armenia) and etc.

 

The number of banks and their subsidiaries which have chosen the solutions developed by BSS Company kept increasing as in the previous years. This proves the fact that modern banks prefer to cooperate with reliable and qualified vendors of IT-systems.

 

The Company’s stable and successful growth was confirmed by the research made by popular analytic agency Cnews Analytics which proved that BSS Company still remains its absolute leadership among various developers of RBS systems on the Russian market. In particular, as it was stated in the CNews research: "In 2008 there was some change in the market structure of the RBS systems for corporate customers broken down by vendor. BSS Company has increased its presence in the top-50 segment from 46,5% to 55,1% by means of other companies’ shares reduction. Confident promotion of BSS’ s products on the market is supported also by questionnaire results made among the banks included in the list of top-100 broken down by active assets. The share of BSS Company has increased from 36,9% to 48,4%".

"Estimation of the shares of vendor companies of remote banking systems for corporate customers among 100% foreign-owned credit institutions showed that the top places were distributed similarly. The first place on all the three subsystems belongs to BSS Company with 54,9% of installed applications, 45,9% on the "bank-client" subsystem, 66,7% on the "Internet-client" subsystem and 66,7% on the "telephone-client" subsystem".

Great interest among banks and their subsidiaries was attracted by services of system integration offered by the Company. Optimization of the IT-infrastructure and business-processes on the principles of SÎÀ by means of a uniform platform (ÅSB) in partnership with BSS in 2008 had started more than 15 banks, such as "OTKRITIE", "Agropromcredit", "Nurbank" (Kazakhstan), "Ural FD" è äð.

 

Over the course of 2008 year BSS continued to work over solutions in the field of developing systems for the corporate finance management. The Company’s popularity growth in this field is confirmed by an active development of the system Enterprise Clearing Centre (ECC) by such large credit organizations as "VTB", "Gazprombank", "Uralsib", "Petrocommerce", "Sviaz-bank",  "Vozrozhdenije", "NOMOS Bank", etc. and is proved by the occurrence of new clients of the given system including 100% foreign-owned credit institutions.

BSS Company constantly carries out monitoring of clients’ requirements – banks and their subsidiaries in Russia and other neighboring countries. The results of the analysis have shown the necessity of a new solution development which can be used for the construction of an effective work of front-office as the most critical zone from the point of view of interaction both with a bank’s client and back-office applications. "CORREQTS" developed by BSS became such a system.

In 2008 the Company declared the start of commercial operation of the solution for the bank’s front-office automation - "ÑORREQTS". At the present moment various modules of the solution "CORREQTS" are used industrially by more than 10 banks.

Despite the universal economic crisis the Company continues to develop actively new directions of business and sweep the new markets. At the end of the 2008 year BSS has opened a new direction of activity – the development and introduction of CRM-solutions in banking sector.

 

The group of companies "Terrasoft" which has a long-term experience in the sphere of creation of software for customer-centric strategy realization has been chosen as the strategic partner for the given direction. Within the limits of strategic partnership on the basis of BSS Company the "Competence Center" in the direction of "Terrasoft CRM Bank has been organized. The given "Competence Center" is the unique partner centre on this product on the territory of the Russian Federation.

 

Training center of the Company has also shown obvious results. For the last year the Company has trained more than 100 listeners under various programs within the limits of open and corporate courses.

At the end of the 2008 year the Company has created the personnel agency for the purpose of work on the Russian market. The primary goal of the Company’s new direction of activity is providing a complete complex of services for maintenance of the credit organizations with professional personnel in the sphere of information technologies.

 

In 2008 the Company has continued active development of its basic products.

BSS has started the industrial delivery of the new version of system for private customers "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" designed especially for the purpose of providing the clients banking services in the simple and convenient form on the principle "always and everywhere".

Anticipating the growth of banks’ requirements in providing their clients services by means of a mobile phone, the Company has introduced to the Russian market the subsystem "Mobile-Client" of the complex system "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" v. 1.8.

The introduction of a new version of the solution "RBS BS-Client" v. 3.17.5 has become the result of the Company’s efforts on significant improvement of providing remote services for corporate customers.

The new conceptual solution "MoneyTrans. One window" was also offered to the attention of banking community which immediately interested greatly a wide range of credit organizations. Key feature of the solution "MoneyTrans. One window" is the uniform universal interface of a bank’s operator (one window) for work with the banking products represented by all systems for money transfer (partner networks of a bank) irrespective of their quantity.

 

In 2008 have been summed up the results of ratings prepared by analytical agencies "Expert RA" and CNews Analytics. According to closing statements of these companies, BSS enters the list of top-100 largest IT-companies of Russia following the results of 2007.

 

In 2008 the Company actively participated in the largest socially significant actions which allowed to popularize the solutions developed by BSS: the 10th International Forum iFin-2008, the 19th Congress of ARB, Retail Finance Conference, the 14th Northwest Banking Conference in St.-Petersburg, the All-Russian banking Forum in Nizhny Novgorod, XIV Forum of developers of information banking systems, Annual banking conference in Sochi and etc.

 

The Company conducted two large seminars for banks and their subsidiaries on which questions of implementation of modern IT-solutions have been considered and problems which banks are faced with during the process of realization of projects on remote service were discussed.

 

By tradition, BSS has continued active support of the Russian sports, in particular, sailing, yachting and volleyball, having participated in an annual regatta "the Bank cup" and corporate tournament on volleyball, and also having acted as the initiator of several sports competitions.

For 14 years of an active work on the Russian market of banking solutions BSS Company has reached significant results, and 2008 has become one of the most successful in the Company’s activity despite the world crisis. Conservation of positive dynamics of BSS development against the universal crisis phenomena is connected with the stable structure of business, orientation on the final user, and that during the instability epoch the prestigious credit organizations prefer to make a choice in favour of truly reliable partners offering qualitative modern decisions.
