BSS sums up the results of 2009

In 2009 BSS Company has celebrated 15-year-old anniversary, has demonstrated a stable growth in terms of volume of sales and strengthened its market positions. Over 110 banks and their subsidiaries became the Ñompany’s clients, the annual growth of the BSS’s turnover has exceeded 20%.

In 2009 influence of financial crisis has touched upon various spheres of economics that has affected the decrease in volumes of financing of IT-projects in banking sphere. Especially prominent against the crisis phenomena became achievements of the Company regarding an increase in client base, development of new business directions and attraction of new clients.

 

Following the results of a year over 110 banks and their subsidiaries in Russia and other neighboring countries have joined the list of users of BSS’s solutions. Among them are Russian banks of the top-100 and top-300 levels, such as:

Working over attraction of new clients, BSS Company has strengthened its positions won earlier on the market. In 2009 BSS has proceeded active advancement of flagman solutions - "RBS BS-Client" v. 3 and "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" for the organization of remote banking service for corporate and private customers, respectively: only for "Bank-Client "and "Internet-Client" subsystems the total amount of the bought in addition client licences has exceeded 250 000 pieces.

 

The leading market positions of BSS Company confirm the results of annual research made by CNews Analytics. According to the review "IÒ in banks" conclusions, "in 2009 BSS Company has kept its leading positions occupying over 50% of the market in banks of the Top-50 level (BSS’s market share in 2009 amounts 50,5%). Among the banks entering the Òop-100 level broken down by shares BSS occupies a share of 46,8%. Thus, in 2009 there was no change of the leader in the market segments mentioned above". (CNews Analytics, 2009).

 

The research of the segment of credit organizations with the developed branch network has shown that "with the development of a branch network of banks belonging to the Òop-100 list BSS Company’s share increases substantially at the expense of the replacement of other developers of RBS systems from the market". "At a segment of centralized RBS systems considerably higher, than on the market as a whole (52,3% against 46,8%, respectively)". (CNews Analytics, 2009).

 

From the beginning of the year over 60 banks and their subsidiaries declared the start of systems and various RBS services developed on the basis of solutions "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" and "RBS BS-Client" v. 3, among them are Agropromcredit, Avtotorgbank, CB "Bank of Settlements and Savings", J&T bank, Bank Gorod, SKB-Bank, Bank "Credit-Moscow", "Uralfinance" Commercial bank, FINAM Investment Bank, IBA-MOSCOW, Eurasian Bank (Kazakhstan), Tatfondbank, Ural FD, Swedbank, Vitas Bank, Nurbank (Kazakhstan), Trust and etc.

 

Conclusion made by CNews Analytics that "on "Bank-Client" and "Internet-Client" subsystems BSS Company is presented more among credit organizations from the first half of Òop-100 rating list broken down by shares which characterizes this system as priority for large banks" became the important result of the research. (CNews Analytics, 2009).

 

The conclusion of the contract with Sberbank of Russia on working out and implementation of the multifunctional solution for the organization of remote banking service of corporate customers became an appreciable achievement of 2009. The recognition of the largest bank of Russia confirms conformity to the most rigid requirements of functionality and productivity of BSS’s solutions.

 

In autumn of 2009 the Company has won the tender for the "ÑORREQTS" system delivery in ZAO "Raiffeisenbank Austria". At the present moment various modules of the solution "CORREQTS" are used in the following banks:

  • JSC "Siboilbank"
  • and etc.

2009 year has been noted by considerable growth of interest to the internet-banking for servicing retail customers. Economic crisis realities actualized the requirement of an operating management of means on bank accounts and, as a consequence, stimulated interest to the internet-banking from private clients. In their turn, the banks aimed at an increase of efficiency of servicing, preservation of their loyalty, depreciation of banking service have estimated the "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" system’s possibilities which allow solving these problems in a complex.

 

"Internet-banking systems are used by 2/3 of credit organizations entering the Òop-100 list. Systems of the banks’ own working out are most widely presented (35,8%). Among the external developers of RBS systems for private customers BSS is also in the lead in this segment (27,6%)". (CNews Analytics, 2009).

The general growth of the Company’s turnover in a segment of solutions for retail clients servicing has exceeded 40% which confirms that the dynamics of growth of this market segment is considerably higher than the average rate. Popularity of the "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" system for private customers servicing testifies a choice of Gazprombank, the largest Russian bank. Moreover, at the end of 2009 the "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" system had been also chosen by the largest regional bank - Orient Express Bank. The expanded implementation of the system among these banks is planned for 2010.

 

For the last year BSS Company has considerably strengthened its positions in the market of 100% foreign-owned credit institutions having increased its presence in this segment from 54,9% to 58,6%. The list of BSS’s new clients has been enlarged in 2009 by the following non-resident banks and their subsidiaries: DnB NOR Monchebank, J&T bank, ZAO "Raiffeisenbank Austria", ZAO Svenska Handelsbanken and etc.

 

The realization of plans of regional development has provided the Company exit on the new geographical markets (Tajikistan) and has led to the conclusion of new partner agreements and activity increase in the markets of Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia. Leading banks of the near abroad countries have joined the number of BSS’s clients in 2009:

Complex work of the Company in various market segments has caused natural growth of BSS’s client base. 

 

Key role in preservation and development of BSS’s market positions have played both experience and competence of the Company in the field of system integration. In 2009 BSS has considerably expanded its practice of integration projects and solutions at the expense of an increase in a spectrum of the used integration platforms, the debugged technologies, escalating of complexity and scales of projects. The direction opened in the Company in 2008 nowadays provides realization of dozens of projects annually. In 2009 on the basis of SOA-methodology several integration projects were realized for the benefit of Agropromcredit, OTKRITIE, Nurbank (Kazakhstan), Ural FD, First Republic Bank, Russ-Bank, etc. The results of work of 2009 allow to conclude that the Company became the high-grade player in the market of system integration in banking sphere.

 

In 2009 being guided by market requirements the Company has continued upgrading its basic products’ functionality.

 

In autumn of 2009 BSS announced the new version of the "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" v. 2.1 system. Beside the improvement of its basic functionality, in the new version the level of information security of the system has been essentially improved, and also effective tools of business development are provided at the expense of possibility of attraction of new clients. Among them are functionality of bank cards connection and registration of the clients having salary cards in other banks which do not use RBS systems for private customers service.

 

At the end of the year there have been announced the innovative products in the structure of "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" v. 2.1 which actually do not have analogues in the Russian market - "iPhone-Client" and "Broker-Client" subsystems. Active advancement of these solutions on the market is planned for 2010.

 

The release of the solution "RBS BS-Client" v. 17.6 became the result of the Company’s efforts on considerable improvement of corporate customers remote service. In the new version of the system a number of possibilities which essentially raise convenience, efficiency and safety of work of the system had been added: the list of the system documents, supported platforms is expanded, the safety system is improved.

 

Throughout the year works over completion of functionality of the system in the field of management of the corporate finance proceeded - Enterprise Clearing Centre (ECC) system. In 2009 the delivery of the system has been carried out in Bank Alemar, Rosselhozbank, BANK "ROSSIYA". At the present moment the "ECC" system is successfully maintained in the largest banks - VTB, Gazprombank, Uralsib, Petrocommerce, Sviaz-bank, Vozrozhdenije, NOMOS Bank and etc.

 

"ECC" system allows banks providing the solution of specialized tasks in the interests of their largest corporate customers. As a result, at the beginning of 2009 in Gazprombank the administration of the rests of money resources kept on accounts of the companies and the head office of the holding "Gazprom" is exercised owing to integration of module "Cash-pooling" of complex system "RBS-ECC" with the Bank’s information systems.

 

High functionality of the "ECC" system is claimed also among the largest enterprises. In 2009 the AC "Transneft" have concluded the contract on delivery and implementation of the Enterprise Clearing Centre (ECC) system.

 

Traditionally supporting productive dialogue with banking and business community, in 2009 BSS Company has taken part in the largest forums and conferences: the Forum iFin-2009 "Electronic financial services in Russia", the Forum for IT-heads of banks, the 20th Congress of ARB, conference "Innovative technologies for retail bank", RBS FORUM-2009, XV International Forum of developers of the Integrated Banking Systems, XII Forum of Payment cards and etc. The Company repeatedly represented itself as the expert in leading banking editions and business press. The seminars organized by the Company in Moscow, Ukraine, Yekaterinburg have caused prominent interest among participants of the market.

 

2009 is the year of the Company’s quindecennial work in the market. For 15 years BSS has passed an interesting and profitable way having reached considerable successes, having won the leading positions in the market of remote banking systems engineering, having become the prominent participant of banking professional community. For these years the Company has won reputation of the reliable business partner, the professional developer of IT-solutions and the competent integrator.

 

BSS will continue to strengthen its positions in the market further on. According to the plans of strategic development of the Company, by 2014 BSS is planning not only to keep its leadership in the RBS segment, but also to diversify essentially its business at the expense of development of new technologies, elaboration of new products and services, an exit on the new branch and geographical markets.
