MobiPass
"MobiPass" is the technology to generate a session key - an equivalent of a handwritten signature. It uses a Java-application on your cellular telephone to self generate session keys where, when and as many as required to use bank services. "MobiPass" can be used together with other "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" subsystems.
Features
MobiPass enables a customer to obtain a session key (one-time password) by entering the 6-digit number (provided by the bank) into your cell phone. Unlike a table of one-time keys, MobiPass allows an unlimited number of such keys and thus relieves the customer from the need to visit a bank office with the one-time keys exhausted.
The MobiPass technology is based on the open standard of Open Authentication, widely used worldwide and securing a proper safety level.
Working in the system
When the customer needs to sign a document within "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client", a 6-digit number is displayed or dictated to be entered on the cell phone. In response, MobiPass generates a 6-digit session key required to confirm an operation. For protection from unauthorized access, MobiPass requests to enter the personal 4-digit PIN code at each session key generation.
MobiPass can be downloaded from any source the bank chooses (a WAP site; a bank officer's workstation at a service contract sign off; a disk provided by the bank upon a contract sign off, etc.). To activate MobiPass, enter the 20-digit secret code provided by the bank on your cell phone and determine the PIN code.
