WAP-Client

"WAP-Client" is the subsystem of the complex solution of "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" to ensure WAP-banking. "WAP-Client" can run with other "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" subsystems to offer a common e-servicing area with all available "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" services.

Features

WAP-Client enables private customers to access information on balances and statements of accounts and cards using their cellular telephones through the WAP protocol. This is a friendly mass service providing the bank with the additional capability to gain new retail customers. The subsystem is offering a significant development potential as WAP connections can be set up automatically in most networks of mobile communication.

Working in the system

WAP-Client runs on cellular telephones supporting WAP 1.1 and does not require any additional software. Connections are protected through the WTLS and SSL protocols (if a relevant feature is provided in the network of the cellular communication operator).
