Telephone-Client


The "Telephone-Client" subsystem ensures information and payment services through telephone lines with tone dialing (facsimile) and is designed for private and corporate bank customers. "Telephone-Client" can run individually and within the "RBS BS-Client" software complex

Tasks to solve

  • Input and process various types of strictly formalized payment documents and other documents;
  • Receive reference information about the bank and its services (addresses of branches, exchange rates, deposit rates, etc.);
  • Receive various account statements of different formats as well as other information from the bank by fax;
  • Provide other informational services to customers (including those on chargeable basis with commission charges).

Distinctive features

  • Capability to adapt to most widespread types of computer telephony facilities. The system is based on Phone Hardware Engine - a universal interface for telephony equipment by various vendors. The telephone cards of Dialogic, Pika are supported;
  • Distributed system architecture ensuring the capability to establish a centralized system for telephone-based customer service, with geographically distributed call centres;
  • Flexible system with capabilities and functionality easily enhanced without the developer. All telephony applications are written on the high level subject oriented language of BS-Script;
  • Capability to receive information from other "RBS BS-Client" subsystems by phone - from "Bank-Client" and "Internet-Client", and to manage the systems.

"Telephone-Client" Architecture

The figure shows the "Telephone-Client" subsystem architecture and its place within the integrated complex "RBS BS-Client".

The "Telephone-Client" subsystem of "RBS BS-Client" consists of the following components:

  • Telephone application server running scenarios written on BS-Script;
  • Phone Hardware Engine - a universal interface for telephony equipment by various vendors;
  • Information and voice server to generate voice and fax messages, provide access to the RBS database. Management of the other "RBS BS-Client" subsystems;
  • Authorization server to control access to the system and its informational resources, complete logging of log-ins and clients' activities;
  • Message router is the central system element to ensure message exchange with the other components;
  • Administrator's workplace - customization of the computer telephony complex architecture as well as relevant reference information;
  • Operator's workplace - monitoring of system status and clients' activities;
  • Visual builder of rules for generation of voice and facsimile messages. The user can apply it to build flexible scenarios of message generation from information stored in the database. The Builder provides an integrated scenarios debugger.
