"Retail Client" v. 2.2
"RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" is a fully-functional replicable solution providing a friendly and secure remote service to bank’s retail customers via various communication channels through a wide range of devices - PCs, laptops, fixed and mobile phones, PDAs, iPhone, self-service kiosks, etc.
The new version of the system "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" v. 2.2 has significantly expanded functionality, enhanced ergonomics, improved means of security protection and enlarged set of external systems that can be integrated with the system.

The mechanisms of unauthorized access protection are added into the new version of the system "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" v. 2.2.
The last session data (date, time, IP-address of the last log-in) is shown on the main page to ensure timely detection of unauthorized system access by bank’s customer on his/her own.
Besides, from now on the user is able to review the history of his/her previous working sessions.
The password entry can be carried out without using a keyboard which excludes the possibility of password theft by an intruder applying the program "keylogger".
The virtual keyboard is displayed on the monitor and its buttons are clickable by means of the mouse pointing device.
Providing a password via SMS-messages when logging-in the system is implemented in order to ensure convenience during the confirmation operation by customer and reduce costs on sending SMS-passwords.
The given password is valid for all the transactions occurring in the current working session.
The system "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" v. 2.2 has the mechanism of controlling passwords set for customers. This enables the system to require password changing in the following cases:
· The customer entered a very simple password. Password is regarded simple if it is shorter than the specified length, it consists symbols of one or two groups (letters, figures or special symbols) or contains a setting specified by bank.
· The customer uses the password twice. A bank is able to prohibit using the password which has been entered by the customer earlier.
· The password is timed-out. A bank is able to set the password end date for the intended customer.
Functionality
New subsystems and compatibility options are implemented in the new version of the system "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" v. 2.2.
"Broker-Ñlient" is a subsystem of the complex "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" solution which allows the bank’s clients to perform activities connected with the whole range of stock market operations in secure way through the Internet.
The "Broker-Client" subsystem offers the following possibilities:
· allows customers to perform non-trading operations (fund depositing order (if used), stock depositing order, fund withdrawal order, stock withdrawal order, fund transfer order, stock transfer order, etc.);
· provides customers with reports on non-trading operations (on broker accounts, on equity level recalculation with regard to the customer);
· provides customers with reports on trading operations (on deals with stocks and related operations, on deals with stocks and related operations, etc.);
· allows brokers to present the information obligatory for perusal (reading) or signing to customers (presentment of orders submitted by phone for signing, presentment of margin call notices, notifications on margin stocks list changes, notifications on changes of the regulations or the terms of the contract, presentment of notices on tariffs changes, etc.);
· allows to provide news and other informational messages to customers;
· allows to receive requests for reports on trading or non-trading operations and other documents from customers.
Intrabank transfers are provided in the system to simplify transfer operations into accounts in the same bank. When performing this operation it is not required to enter beneficiary bank details.
Usability
The considerable attention has been paid to the users’ convenience if operating in the system "RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" v. 2.2.
Form now on the emergence of CAPTCHA for user authentication occurs only after authorization failure. CAPTCHA is able to exclude password auto fit by means of the intended programmes when logging-in, and also to reduce the load on server during someone’s trying to perform a password attack.
However, it is not quite convenient to enter CAPTCHA symbols every time when logging-in and as a rule the system entry is successful at the first attempt. Consequently, using CAPTCHA is required only after entering the wrong username and/or password.
In the new version of the system username and password entering assigned to the customer is significantly simplified.
Regular customer payments can be registered in the system and executed automatically with a specified time period.
Previous to performing any money transactions the customer is informed about the amount of commission to be charged for this operation.
To perform quite a number of transactions the customer is ordered to purchase one or another banking product. In case of performing operation without purchasing a certain banking product the customer receives a message reporting the invalidity of operation, explaining the reasons and offering to buy the needed banking product that will permit the requested operation.
Given messages and offers can be changed at the bank’s own discretion.
When saving a template it is proposed to enter its name to make a customer’s template navigation easier.
INTEGRATION
"RBS BS-Client. Retail Client" v. 2.2 has the improved integration capabilities with some external information systems.
The system is now integrated with the automated banking system "Gefest".
In the new version of the systen the connection with the payment system "Cyberplat" has been updated: from now on the system automaticly updates the list of service-providers and services to be payed.
